William Glover Fletcher received a bachelor of arts degree from Clark University in 1936. He went to Yale for graduate work, writing a Ph.D. Dissertation entitled, Canal Site Diplomacy: A Study in American Political Geography. He received the Ph.D. in 1940, but stayed at Yale until 1943 as an instructor in international relations and as a fellow of Pierson College. He died in 1968.
